REM replacment?

if my deck doesn't have a REM wire can i hook it up to a switch that goes right to my battery??? or will that burn out the amp?

you can do that, or you can hook the amp turn on to the accy wire too.  this way the amp will at least turn on and off when the car turns on and off.  Less chance of a dead battery that way.  What radio is it?  I haven't seen an aftermarket radio that didn't have a remote lead in a very long time?

im pretty sure that the wire fell out of the harness.........thanks alot
