what's up fellas i need some help.I know a litle about car audio but not alot. I have a small amp ran to my mids and highs now. I am about to put in a mono amp for 2 subs> my questionis how would i wire the amps up with each other? I already have the wires ran form the previous system. how would i tie the remote, ground, hot in together? Also onhere is the first time im heard anyone say that a cap. is a waste of money. I had one in my last setup that the shop put in. Do i need one? Im running 1000-1200 watts est. I replaced my alternator about six- eight months ago ( not with an ho). i think the amp should power it fine. IS there any need or benefit to a cap for me? Thanks for answering the questions for me.

cap= a plus

I distrubition block for the power, and just daisy chain the remote turn on power and the ground.

Each amp gets grounded directly to chassis.  Upgrade the main power wire and fuse and use a disribution block or install a second power wire and fuse from the battery for the new amp.  Remotes can share the same wire, split two from one or daisy-chain.

Install the cap in the system when all else is complete.  If there is plenty of power available for the amplifiers then you will be good to go whether the cap is installed or left out.  Use it if you like the way it looks.  You might even find a benefit in it, but you would never know if you don't set the system up and play it first without the cap.

just as steve stated you can install the cap it wouldn't hurt anything. you also want ti install it on the mono amp and not both. u cna do this by placing in on th epower wire justafter the dist. block. reason for this  ur low end will pull more power demand than the amp for ur highs. the cap acts as a quick power supply and releases power to amp as its needed

how do i wire the dis. block it runs the power and then two on the other side to amps? Also never wired a cap just striaght to the power after the dis block. is that the only hookup, from the dis block to cap cap to amp?

Think of a distribution block as a 'T' on a pipe, it splits one line into 2.  You can get a distribution block with just two fuses (one for each amp).  As for the cap (yeah....block to cap and then cap to amp), if you have it...use it.  You wouldn't buy an alarm, keep it in the garage and think its going to do you good there.  As far as daisy chaining...its another way to say to put em all together.
