hi is there a way of connecting the standard 6 disc changer that comes in the front of the dash on a 2002 mk4 golf to a pioneer or alpine stereo?

There are no adaptors available that would allow you to connect the original VW in dash Changer to anything other than VW equipment. Blaupunkt had a IDC-A09 5 Disc in dash Changer and it looks the same. The some odd few VW dealers have used them in the past because they were cheaper than there own. If this is the type you have, a Blaupunt head unit would control it but it still wouldn't work with anything else.
