Hey everybody. I have a 1000 watt 4 channel amp. on the amp channel 1 and 2 have their own set of rca plugs and channel 3 and 4 have their own set. how do i wire everything up to where i can use all 4 channels on the amp when i only have 1 set of rca output plugs from my headunit. right now im only able to use 2

First off, what is the 4 channel amp being used for. I am assuming for 4 door speakers? Second, is the 1 output from your deck a full range output or non-fader only?

the amp is being used to push my subs. i was wanting to bridge the subs on the 4 channels. and i don't know about the output from the deck

Use 2 Y-cables. In general a 4-channel amp is not the best solution for subs, but it can certainly be used. Make sure your impedance load on each bridged set of outputs is no less than 4-ohms and set your gains and LP crossovers properly. ------------- Support the12volt.com

Yep, that sounds about right. Unless you want to buy a good line driver that can create multiple outputs from one, or replace the amp with a proper subwoofer amp, this is the only thing you can do. Install the Y-cables and then properly reset your gains. ------------- Support the12volt.com

Sounds to me like you would have to upgrade your cd player first. You should get one with 3 sets of rca outputs. 1 for fronts, 1 for rears, and 1 for subs. You could use signal sensing to the amp but it just doesnt ever sound all that great.
