4 0hm amp with a 4 0hm dvc

the amp is a vra4.0 cheapo i know and not good for wiring a sub, but the sub is an audiobahn aw105t i think its a 10" 4 0hm dvc rated at 300rms. i picked up the sub for like $25 a circuit city. now my question is, this amp is rated for no less than 4 ohms but i ran the sub earlier in series bridged to the amps rear output which would put the sub at 2 ohms. should i wire it in parrallel so it then becomes 8 ohms or just let it go with the 2 ohms since it was working tonight, just not a longer period of time? what would happen first though would the protection circuit kickin or blow a fuse or could the amp just become toast? just wondering its not really that important since the cost is cheap i can always swap the amp at walmart and the sub has warranty at cc which ill end up with a whole new model.

Wiring in series makes the sub 8 ohm. Wiring in parallel makes the sub 2 ohm. Chances are that the amp will go into protection and in time you will blow the sub. Here is how to wire the sub properly.
