I have two 12" MTX 4000 series subs. I want to put them in a box that comes out to 1.6748 cu. Ft. Will this choke them down too much? I belive that MTX calls for 1 to 2 cu. ft. per sub. Any info would be great! Thanks in advance. Brian

That would probably be a little to small for those unless you have alot of power( unless you are loading them isobaric, but that is another story). If this is your only box option for now I would stuff the box with polyfill or pink fiberglass.

Thanks for your reply. Actually what I am doing is putting them into a 1993 Camaro. I am using the space (where the t tops would go) as the box and I am going to make a mdf floor to flush them in. If you get what im saying. The customer wants to keep all the room he can. I thought that was pushing it with the space but I quess I can stuff it like you said and give it a try. Maybe he will like it? Thanks alot. Brian

I have done many baffles in those and they don't sound all that bad ( although I usually use 10's).

Yeah 10"s would work better in this situation but he already has the 12"s. Thanks for the input on this. Brian
