wondering if anyone can help me with the dimentions to get the best sound out of my subs. They are 12 inch 1300 watt subs fitting in a 98 jeep grand cherokee I am going to put them in the back area behind passenger seats but I would like to know what is the best depth width and heights to get the best sound out of them. subs are about 7 or 8 inchs front to back. I want a sealed box manly because its easier for me to cut  6 pieces of straight wood rather than cuting out holes and tubes and all that. Help or feedback greatly appreciated.

first you have to check the volume that the sub manufacture recommend for that particular model.

wich sub do you have?

good guess was it the line about being poor but sounding good. They are explodes so far they are doing great and they are in the crappiest box anyone could ever build I almost couldn't cut 6 pieces of wood into perfect rectangles and don't even ask about the wholes for the subs. They are in a box now that was made to fit behind the back seats of a jeep wrangler.

Nah it was the line about the 1300 watt subs. lol.

Funny, on the sony crutchfield site it has the recommended sealed 1.15ft^3 while recommended ported .85ft^3.

Personally I think those subs are good for the price. They pound pretty hard too.

Um well for dimensions just do the heigth times width times length and divide by 1728.

Mess around the the measurements untile you get about 1.15 feet cubed.

yeah, 1cuft sealed will be more than good for those subs.

Thanks for the replies I'll get to work on a box soon, and I'll probably be back for some advice on my jeep wrangler project I want to take out the back seat (bottom portion) and make a box to fit there and then mount the top portion onto the box so I will have a seat still and at least three tens in there.
