I have a 2001 Monte Carlo with the class II databus system. The Radio has a settings menu on it that controls the oil life monitor, tire pressure monitor, headlight delay, alarm, etc. The car also has onstar. According to what I have been told, I can use Metra's 70-2003T wiring harness to relocate the factory radio to the trunk. So now that i have retained the class II data features, how do I integrate onstar???? Anyone with some experience with these radios, I would appreciate your help.

I heard that Metra has a small speaker that you can integrate witht he bypass harness they have now. You will need to contact Metra about this to be sure. They have a harness / module now that you do not need to relocate the OEM radio anymore. All you need to do is remove the OEM radio completely and install this module/harness inline of the OEM harness and your off. Don't know if this helps but contact Metra and they will more than likely be able to help you.
