i have phoenix gold xenon 5.0 component set and i have a choice of 2 amplifiers to power them. which one would  give me the most power and best sound quality. 1st amplifier is a autotek 800xi 150 watts at 4 ohms 2nd amplifier is a rockford fosgate 500.2 the black amplifier it is rated at 125x2 at 4 ohms the components are rated at 150 watts rms each.and these components are in qforms kickpanels in a 87 buick grandnational.

I bet you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the two, given they produced the same power output, so either will do as 25 watts is fairly insignificant.

Look into a better quality amp for your highs... RFis NOT good on highs, very shrill and raspy sounding, and the Autotek is only marginally better from my recollection...

Eclipse, Zapco, Nakamichi... ANY of those would be better choices for highs...

Zed Audio makes some pretty good SQ amps for a budget. He also makes the Nakamichi amps and made the old school Hifonics amps.

Stephen Mantz is DA MAN when it comes to amps.
