Hey guys. Its been some time since I last posted something. But here I am, with a question pertaining to my deck. (Premier DEH-P770MP)

Well here's the deal. This stereo is roughly 1.5 years old. I've never had problems with it before, but about four months ago, I ran into an odd problem. The stereo would cut in and out (sound). At first, I thought maybe that my remote wire or my power wire (for my four channel) was corroding or being stricken by a bad connection...so I fiddled with it a bit, and there was no luck. Eventually, the sound stopped altogether. The stereo still works, but it doesn't have any kind of audio output, and the remote wire no longer turns the amplifier on. Now. It isn't a problem with my wiring setup, because I tried re-configuring the wires, and I tried hooking it up in a different vehicle. Fuses are not the culprit either, as I have checked and replaced any fuses that would be on there. The problem is kind of getting on my nerves because I really like this stereo and I pretty much want tor rip my corneas out when I have to drive in silence.

I've been cruising around on the parts department of Pioneer's website, and there is only one part who's name sounds somewhat relevant to my problem - IC Output. The part itself is only around $25, however, I don't want to invest in something that isn't going to solve my problem, regardless of how cheap it might be. If anyone has any ideas as to what my problem could be, please give me your input. I'm open to all suggestions. Bear in mind that the problem is NOT my car's wiring. It must be strictly confined to the deck itself. Thanks Guys...much appreciation.

time to open it up for a visual inspection. look for loose wires, burnt components, etc.

That ic is more than likely the culprit.  It not only supllys the amplified output but also generates the remote turnon.  Best bet is jump your remote wire to the accy wire.  if the amp turns on and you get sound then you've nailed down the problem.  Doesn't the premiere end of pioneer have a 2 year warranty?  if it's only a a year and a half old have them fix it.

I'll try jumping the connections. If that doesn't fix it, then I'll probably just buy the IC output...hopefully it fixes everything.
