also a good amp would be the pioneer gm-5200t its a 2 channel cea compliant specs are

125w x 2 rms @ 4 ohms, 250w x2 peak @ 4 ohms

190w x 2 rms @ 2 ohms,380w x 2 peak @ 2 ohms

380w x 1 rms @ 4 ohms,760w x 1 peak @ 4 ohms

there really decent amps for the price and they put out true wattage and they draw no more than 60amps max so that would really be a good choice since ur only using jl wo's so u cant go wrong and there would be plenty of power for later if u decided to upgrade the subs. also its probally half the price of the 300/1 hope this helps any

These are 8 ohm wired in parallel, so I would just bridge the 2 channels on the gm-5200 and be good to go @ 4 ohms, right?

if their wired in parallel then they will present a 4 ohm load now u would wire them to one channel on the amp to recieve the 125w rms and that will leave the second channel left unused if u bridged the amp to the subs they will recieve 380w rms but dont do that cause u run the chance of blowing the subs and voiding the warranty on them does that help u any

i wouldnt advise running just one channel of the amp.
nor would 380w 'blow up' those 2 subs if in fact they are each 125w drivers.
Just be sure to tune your amp properly

Why would you want to run only one channel of a two channel amp for two subs?

I'd say bridge the amp with the subs wire in parallel.

There's no chance of blowing those subs if you set the gains correctly.

wow, ok, lol, didn't expect so many diff answers. like aznboi3644 said, i planned to bridge and run in parallel. i'm open to suggestions. basically, i've got the box & subs, no amp yet. just want to get this baby in my lx.

What's your budget? A good class D mono amp would do the job right. There quite a few to choose from. Kicker, MTX, Alpine, JL Audio are some that fit the bill. Let us know what you decide on.

Consider this a low budget project. The GM-5200T is looking good, since it's around $100 shipped on eBay.

So I should be good to go w/ that, bridged, right?

oman76, you need to look at the content of the discussion a little closer here. Most people automatically default to class D mono amp when they see the word sub. Well, what did we older distinguished kind of dudes use in the days before class d? We used good old 2 channel class AB amps and they worked just fine, as they would in this application. In this appliction the user has two 8 ohm subwoofers, the only recommended wiring solution for him is a parallel circuit that will present a 4 ohm load to the amp. A 2 channel amp for the most part (some exceptions do apply though) will present maximum output at 4 ohm mono, wherea's a class D amp produces maximum output at 2 or 1 ohm. If the user is going to be changing to different subs in a hurry, then yes the class D amp would be a great choice. As he has posted what his exact subs are and what he wants to do, in this case the Pioneer is a great choice.

Go with  the Pioneer, it will do the job just fine for you.
