HI,
Ive just installed a pioneer AVH-P7550DVD headunit in my wrx and when the ignition is switched off everything on the headunit turns off except the blue lights (around the knobs, the light under the cd slot and the buttons etc)
Is this normal or is there someway to turn them off?
It seems pointless to me for them to stay on as it would drain battery power.
I have asked a few people and have been told its because the ignition(red) wire is hooked to constant power, this is not the case as everything else on the headunit turns off

Thanks for any help

I have just installed a power converter and playstation2 slimline in the 96 wrx,i have them hooked to a pioneer indasd DVD player.
The problem im having is its picking up major interference, wigning through speakers and lines across the screen.

do u have the RCA jacks close to like alot of power, aka, power wires, and are they connected good, and or correct? check those things, and if all else fails, try a smaller size convert, thats the best i can come up with
