I have a Pioneer Ts- m101 4" midrange 150W Max. with a Cruch Crossover, But when the volume is at 40, the Pioneer Star making a Distortion, and before i bought the pioneer, i had a pair of sony and when the volume was at 40, it was really clean the sound. What could be the problem? the Crossover?

Did the Sony speakers have a lower RMS & peak power rating ?

yes, RMS 25w Peak 80

Pioneer RMS 50 Peak 150

One more question, Do you think 12 Gauge Wires Its good to connect it to the speakers, Head unit to speakers, Intead of 16 gauge.
