im trying  to set up a 95 camaro that im helping rebuild for my gf, we bought the car smashed and are rebuilding it, well one of the speakers is blown so i figure its a good excuse to redo most of it, now id like to keep the factory headunit so i'll just be adding on a cd changer. next comes door speakers and small sub... her dad works for gm and happend to get a full set of brand new bose speakers from a newer suv, (4) 6.5''s, (2)3.5''s (2) 2''? and a set of tweeters, also what looks to be a 7-8'' sub. the sub has the factory amp, the speakers do not. they all list there weird ohm's some are 3.6 some are 1.9 some arnt even listed. is it worth it to try n make the bose work? or should i just get some good aftermarket and some kinda base tube or somthing?? anyboy every made bose work n a non bose car?

Ahhhh, have you touched the speakers yet? Go and get an antibose shot from the doctor like now. Don't post back until you have done so. If that doesn't work, leave the car alone and unguarded and hope that someone takes it away. (mind you they will also look in, see the word Bose and move along to the next car). That means your stuck. So, put on rubber gloves, bring a garbage can (with locking lid) close to the vehicle. Remove offensive foul Bose equipment one item at a time (carefully), open lid (slowly) and throw offensive foul Bose equipment in. Replace lid immediately and ensure that it is secure (we don't want any of the offensive foul Bose equipment making a break for freedom). Once vehicle is clear of all Bose equipment, clean thoroughly and install new non-offensive aftermarket gear that works and sounds far superior.

That has to be one the funniest posts I've read in many moons. Although true, still hilariuosposted_image. Chuck the bose you'll be happy you did...

At this point you have a world of better options available to choose from. It would be well worth your time to consider them. And yes, Bose truly is that bad.

The other BOSE equipment wouldn't even be compatible with your stock head unit anyway. Scrap everything including the factory deck as it won't work with an aftermarket amp and start over. It is easier to work with a clean slate. You can use the stock door speaker plates as templates for new speakers though.
