I have a 89' Toyota Pickup & i have very little room for a speaker box, But i managed to fit four 8" Subwoofers 600watt max a piece being pushed by a 2000watt amp. The boxes are real small & it doesnt seem to be hitting very hard at all. Would it make a difference if i installed 2 x 10" 1100watt max subwoofers? If so how much?

One single woofer can be made just as loud as multiple woofers.    approx how much space do you have total in cu ft or cu in.....or just demensions and we could make a better suggestion

I bought an '89 Toy lowrider back in '91. Tried many boxes including fiberglass, trying to get as much air space as possible. My final solution was to cut the metal between the bed and cab, mount the box in the bed firing in the cab. Air space and possibilities are unlimited at this point. Behind the seat of a standard Toyota is very slim, if you find som ething that works good without cutting metal out, let me know, I couldnt.

Subwoofers located in different places inside the vehicle can result in cancellations and reduce the overall SPL.  Are all four of your enclosures 9 X 6.5 X 16.5?  If so, I agree with some of the suggestions above and say use the space now occupied by the two behind your seat and replace them with a good single 12" woofer, and dump the two under your dash.

I've put two 10's in that type of truck before and they hit great. Or like Dyohn said, one 12 will work. You'll have to get creative with the box or if you don't have much experience building them you might want to get a shop to build one for you. Just make sure they know what they're doing.
