Hello,

I just looked at the wiring database and found the 1982 Mercedes 240D had the following information:
https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/detail.asp?info=alarm&year=1973-83&make=Mercedes&model=240/280%20Series&ID=18336&type=Stereo

How could it possibly all be black and white? Is it a mono system?

My friend will be putting a new radio in pretty soon and we can't find wiring information anywhere. Could somebody help out? And if that information is correct, we will just have to manually test each set of wires to find out which wire goes to which speaker.

Thanks!
-Brian

you will probably find that its going to be easier to just run your own speaker wires for that car.  it will probably have a fader in the dash that needs to be rewired anyways if you want to get some decent sound.
