Hey everyone, I know this is a pretty simple question but I just forgot on how where to wire the orange wires from the stock wiring harness. Here's the details:
I'm wiring up a standard cheap sony head unit that only has a red(acc), yellow(constant), rem ant/amp,ground and the obvious speaker hookups. Now the GM harness that i bought to make the installation in my pontiac sunfire easier has 3 connections that I'm pretty sure have to hooked up somewhere: orange(illumination), orange-white (dimmer+), and orange black(dimmer-). Can some please tell me where I can hook these up to and if I even need to? Thanx

pretty much if the connection isn't there on the deck, if it doesn't have an orange dimmer input or an illumination. Just cut the extra wires and tape it making sure nothing is touching. You'll be fine. Some decks have that fuction but it seems like yours doesn't.. So no worries. Good luck man posted_image
