well, as many of you have probably seen from my multiple posts about what i thought were alternator problems and severe dimming lights, i have been struggling with power issues in my vehicle. I tried getting a ho alt but none are available,  i've tried this that and everyhting alse to resolve it, and now no more dimming lights. All i have changed recenlty is adding the second ground on my battery, changing my amp power wires to platinum terminals on my optimas top posts. changed the ground position of my cap/ amp with the terminal from my amp touching the ground point on the car, and the cap terminal on top of the amp terminal screwed into the same ground point. I also hacked away the particle board on my trunk floor cover so that it doesnt pinch the power wire/ speaker wire in any way. Also I turned the low pass frequency down on my amp. I'm not sure which one of these did it, but I have no headlight dim at all anymore. I just ordered up 1/0 gauge to redo my big three, and a kinetic power cell for the trunk. I am almost afraid to change anything now that I have no dimming, but the big three and the power cell should just help if anything right? Also should i leave my 1 farad cap in place with the kinetic, or should I take it out and just run the kinetic?

Thanks all I really love this forum

Just run the kinetik...Redo the big three...As for the low pass you don't have to turn it ALL the way down.

Just set it however you like it and however it sounds good to YOU.

Good job going to the basics and upgrading the wiring and connections.  It works more often than not to fix the power issue.

Shocking how sometimes the simple things can resolve problems. I have a tendency to overthink things alot. On a side note I just also installled my kinetik power cell, and am really impressed with it. Just for entertsinment purposes i dropped my mtx class a/b super amplifier in to seen how my electrical system would fair. With my brights on, fog lights on, and my stereo all the way up at idle the lights wouldnt even dim in the slightest way. I really like kinetik cell.
