Hi, yesterday i installed my Ohio Alternator 70- 80 A at Idle and 160A Max, but i still got a problem, the battery indicator light stay's on, i checked the fuse and it was blown, so i changed it but then again the light stay's on, the voltage drop in the 11 volt range at full volume, i had a yellow top but now it doesn't charge it stay 10 volt. i changed it with another battery(a normal battery) and nothing happen, i still get the damn battery light and the voltage drop and dimming, i have the big 3 1/0 awg wire. what i was thinking is that the regulator doesn't kick in. maybe it's because the Alt. is for Toyota Corolla American style and my Toyota Corolla it's Japanese style same year, the plug is the same, but maybe the wires are change? what else could it be, what else do you guys think it may be? thanks.

Are you saying you have a fuse inline from the alt to the batt?

Sounds like a problem with the alternator to me. I got one from alterstart a while back and it was doing the same as yours. I sent it back and when I got it back it still wasn't charging at idle. I ended up taking it to a rebuild shop locally and getting them to fix the problem. I can't remember exactly what they said was causing it though.
