Hello sorry for complete newbie post

I have a 97 honda civic and there are currently no rear speakers in it, in the photo below is the wire and connector that came included.

What is this connector and how do i go about installing speakers with this

That is the connector for the stock speakers. If you are using the stock wiring fromt he deck, just cut the connector off and use a DMM to find which side are the pos and neg sides. personally I dont recommend even putting speakers in there. 95% of you music comes from up front anyways. Those are just for rear fill.

The problem is the front speakers dont produce a deep rich sound so i was planning to stick some reasonably bass-y speakers in there to give the sound some depth

If you have the tuning capablilities, run a couple of 6" subs instead of speakers restricting them to only the 125-315Hz range and you will be much happier
