I recently had my setup stolen, and I am looking to repleace everything.
My mom drov my car and forgot to arm it! ah!!
Anyway, i listen to mostly rap. Previously, I had a 12" eclipse titanium (sw9122).
I really liked this sub, and it sounded great. It was quite dynamic and musical
I know both of these subs will sound great, but was just looking for recommendations from current/previous owners. Would the w7 be overkill (i have a nissan pathfinder). Would the w6 be more dynamic?
I am unsure as to which enclosure type I will choose - let me know what you suggest!
Thanks again!

Either can be overkill...Just depends on if your other speakers are up to the task of keeping up.
Or you could just turn the sub levels down.

I've sold both. The W6V2 is my favorite for the money, it needs less power and sounds darn close to the W7. If money is no object with enough power the W7 is still King of the hill. See if the enclosure sizes will even fit in your truck. Go on JL's web sight and check out the specs for the boxes. I've made the spec slotted box for the 13" W7 and it was huge. Personally I like both of these more in sealed enclosures.

I liked the sound of my eclipse, and it was sealed - this will most likely be the route i go.
What size sealed have you hear and liked?
