does anybody know of some online stores where i could get some speaker adapters for a 2002 f-150? i have 6.5" componenets that have a mounting depth of 2 7/8". my stock speakers are 5x7's. Ive tried to make some mounting plates but i just cant seem to get them right so i was wondering if anybody knew of a place to buy some. Ive looked but all i seem to find is 5 1/4" adapter plates.

I make mine and have a template for them. Where are you going to be putting the tweeter? In the mounting plate with the mid or somewhere else on the doorpanel? Are your speakers oversize 6.5" woofers or standard size?

i was going to put the tweeter at the top of the door. on the inside of the door where the side mirrors are. i just want to put the 6.5s in the factory speaker location. i need a moutning plate for the 6.5s to go in the factory location. i dont know if they are standard or oversize. how can i tell?
