Hi-
I have a XXV-05V with hideaway unit. The sound and radio, subs everything powers up fine when the brain initially powers on when the key is put in the ignition but after the ignition is turned over the head unit will turn off and turn back on while the brain unit remains on. No sound after startup. So sound before startup, no sound after startup. The only way to get the unit to have sound is for me to power the brain back down and turn it back on. Everything is fine. Why is it after the ignition is turned on am I not getting sound. It does not happen ALL the time but a good 90% of the time. I am baffled by this. All the sound is powered through preouts on the hideaway unit. The center channel is powered by the built in amp in the hideaway unit. The red wire (ignition) is hooked up through a wiring harness. The yellow wire (battery) is connected through wiring harness. I had blue wire (antenna) from hideaway unit hooked up to power amps, but then changed to blue/white (amp power wire) with same results. What could be causing this problem?! I have measured voltage on yellow wire, it is constant no significant drops during ignition cycle. The red wire drops dramatically through ignition cycle, but once engine goes constant. This is when the head unit powers back up. Should the head unit remain on all the time. The only to wires on the head unit are yellow and black. They are hooked up to if I remember right battery and a ground on wiring harness as well. PLEASE HELP!!! I have racked my brain trying to figure out what is causing this no sound output after startup. I know there is a built in infinity amp in Dodge, but this is being bypassed because I power all speakers through the hideaway unit with preouts, etc.

Well it seems I have discovered something. When the head unit is set to close automatically upon ignition turn off this situation occurs. When the HU is set to manual the system powers on perfect everytime with sound. I have to manually close the HU screen though. Seems simple, but still to me it seems this HU has some internaly mess ups. Please let me know if this is an internal issue with the HU and there is nothing I can do. Thanks guys!
