My Home stereo has a 6 ohm outlet and I have an 8 ohmRockford Fosgate 8" sub in a bazooka tube.

Now my question:

Is it safe hooking the Subwoofer directly to the stereo?

or

How would i go about/ what I use to in order to make it safe and correct?  In essence, How do I convert ohms and ohm loads?

yes you will be fine.   The amp is rated with a minimum of a 6 ohm load.       running a higher load will not hurt anything, it will just make slightly less power.

I cant sya it will sound the bast but you can try it.

Sounds good

Did it while I was at Lunch and it sounds good it could use a filter of sorts to block out all the mid-bass and highs.

How would I make something of that nature?

and I'd still like to know how to covert ohm:  I.E. 4-6,  8-6, etc?

Thanks again

the only way to alter impedance to to use speakers as an additional load.

I believe thier is a sticky topic at the top on designing crossovers, read that on how to block out the frequencys you dont want
