Would I be able to push two mtx 9500-44 (dvc) in a Sledge Hamer (SLH-T7512X2-A  I killed these subs and want to replace 'em)  w/ a Rockford Fosgate X7????  The amp is rated @ 1500 rms @ 2 ohm.  So if I wire the subs up with voice coils wired in series, speakers wired in parallel I shuld be able to make this work!...????  Right?

Thanks D.K.

I'm so confused.

Did you kill the amp or the subs?

What is the impedence of the subwoofers you want to use, their power rating, and the power rating of the amp in which you are going to use?

Sorry!

I killed the two MTX 7500 (12" 4 ohm svc) in my Sledge Hamer SLH-T7512X2-A,  with a Rockford Fosgate amp (X7, 1500 wats rms @ 2 ohm).  The amp is still good to go. The subs are toast.

I want to stick two MTX 9500-44 in the same box and run the same amp.  But the subs I can get a deal on (yes off e-bay) are 4 ohm dvc.  witch wire down to 4ohm or 1 ohm (right?)  Will my Rockford Fosgate Mono db amp push them?

Thanks D.K.

the mtx subs the 9500's ratings are over 1500 per sub, and on top of that the box sizes for the 7500 and 9500's are diffrent.

my recommendatiuon, build a box to spec for 1 9500 and then run it on the rockford amp,   it should be much better then the 2 7500s if built properly
