I realize most use AudioControl sa-3055 for spl measurement but three grand is over the top for me to toy with.

Has anybody heard of or tried the TrueRta, M-Audio and Behringer Ecm8000 package?

Can they be used for SPL?

What level can it go up to?

That's EXACTLY the package I use... I love it. I bought level 4, the USBPre, and that mic. If not mistaken, it'll go to 140dB, I think.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

All major competition org's now use the Term-lab.    You can purchase them online for under $1000 and they have been popong up on ebay here and there for under $500    you need a laptop or pc to run the software on to use the meter

What level have you measured so far (don't try to impress....just the facts)? I'm hoping to find a 160 db mic at a reasonable price.
