I will be using component mids and tweeters in kick panels in my 03 GMC Sierra extended cab.
Should i completley get rid of the rear speakers and if so, which setting would you use of these 2 in the reciever:
STD Mode: Created for casual listeners, this mode splits a system into two front channels, two rear channels and two subwoofer channels.
Multi Mode: Tailored for audiophile listening, this mode separates the system into two channels for high-range frequencies, two channels dedicated to the mid-range frequencies, and two subwoofer channels.
With the crossovers with the compenent speakers, wouldnt multi mode be redundant?
Basically what i want to know is the best way to set this truck cab up for quality sound.
Also, ill be running 2 yet to be determined 10s, with a single channel amp to be determined.
Its also a bose system if that helps. Im not sure if the factory amp is worth using on the speakers?
What type of reciever are you using? Most likely you would need seperate amplifiers for the mids and tweets if you use the multi-mode, and it may not work with the component set's crossover. I'm personally not a big fan of rear speakers and don't run them in my car. They detract from a good front stage and aren't ideal for a true stereo setup. My recommendation would be just to run the standard mode and not hook up any rear speakers. Instead spend the extra money on a better set of front speakers as this will most likely make the most difference in the sound quality you achieve.

So you suggest using just the subwoofer preout to the amp, and using the front speaker wires from the wire harness down to the bose amp, then out to a new set of mids and tweeters with some crossovers? (And also completely disconnecting rear speakers.)

Sounds like what i was thinking originally, just wanted to get some moe opinions.
Actually adding an amplifier to the front speakers will definitely improve the quality sound as well. You just don't need to bi-amp the component set.
My opinion about those MB Quart speakers is irrelevant. What matters is whether you like them. Try auditioning different components and choose the one's that you like best.
