I would like to thank you guys for a great resource. I finally got my stereo system installed and working correctly in my Yukon. I couldn’t have done it with out The12Volt!
Because of the site I was able to:
1) Pick out the right equipment for my needs.
2) Figure out how to remove the door panels and install the door speakers.
3) Learn how to use a zip tie to run speaker wires through the rubber grommets into the doors.
4) Run power wire for multiple amps.
5) Build the right size sub box.
6) Wire my DVC subs correctly.
7) Figure out what wire to use for the VSS.
8) Diagnose and fix my alternator whine by upgrading the Big 3 and the big 4.
I still have a little bit of alternator whine. It went away when I upgraded the big 3. Then it came back all of a sudden, so I re-grounded the amps. It is quieter now, but still not gone.
Here is a list of the components installed:
1) Pioneer AVIC N3 Navigation Head Unit with Voice Command
2) Visonica 13” drop down screen
3) RF 160.4 Punch 4-way amp for the door speakers
4) RF 100.2 Punch 2-way amp for the subs (left channel for 12” subs, right channel for 8”)
5) Pioneer TS-A1781R 6.75” 4-way speakers for the doors (front and rear)
6) Pioneer TS-A878 3.5” 2-way speakers for the rear (powered by the HU)
7) Infinity REF850W 8” sub (in stock sub location)
8) RF HX2 12” DVC subs
9) Custom sub box for 12” subs
10) 120* Rear view camera in key hole
I’ll try to post pics later.
Again, a big thanks to all of those who helped.

Good job. We'll be looking for a little donation from you, which goes far with us in the gratitude department. We all want the site to stay alive and well. And it's good to hear a nicely detailed thanks like that.

Cool. Donated!
