I have a stock battery and alternator in 98 Beetle and fixing to plug in 1200watts so I know it wont cut it well enough. What will give me the best performance for the money, a battery or cap?? Yellow or Red top?? 1/2 or 1 farad?? Thanx.

The battery ( yellow ) will be more of an asset to the current charging system. A cap will only supplement power to the system when needed but the Optima is consistent.
