I'm looking to get 1 12" sub. I had 2 eclipse before, but I don't have the room for them any more. I was wondering what speaker will hit that hard low bass. I will be pushing it with my PPI art series 600 watt amp. I want something that will sound good with rap and old bass music. More bass the better, and some pretty good sound quality, if posible.

My oponion.    Kicker L5 12 or 10 inch L7 in a 2.0-2.25 cu ft box with a slot port tuned to 26-30 hz will yeild good sound and a nice feel for rap and bass, most of the time in the right enclosure it can remain tight for rock music as well

Eclipse aluminums are also an excellent choice...

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

For a single 12" you can't go wrong with a Memphis M3, I picked one up up at the local shop for $250.

I'm looking to go with no more than a 1.5 cu ft sealed inclosure. The w3's sound good, but I'm looking for something that will hold a little bit more power. I'm using my ppi 600 watt amp to push the sub. I went to the swap shop yesterday, in sunrise florida, and I talked to a guy from one of the car audio shops, and he said he is ordering more jl w6 12" in two weeks. He also told me that he sells them for $200. That is a great deal. Hopefully it's not to good to be true.

Where should I set my amp gain at, so I don't damage the speaker.

What sub do you think will hit harder. The jl w6, or the aliminum eclipse 7100 or 8200. I think thats the model numbers.
