Hey guys, im just wondering what the loudest Regular cab truck install (not including passthrough boxes of any kind!!!) you guys have heard or installed . My setup includes the following:

2 Kicker 10" 4 ohm

1 Kenwood Kac-9152 D (running at 1 ohm making 900watts)

2 redtop optima batteries ( Please dont grill me about the alternator, its coming soon lol )

and a Kenwood mp3 cd player.

Not sure what it hits Db wise, (im sure its not thaaaaat loud since its in a sealed enclosure) But its pretty darn loud

Just wondering what you guys have heard or installed!

96 s-10 std cab. I installed 4 10" memphis, 2 memphis 500d's yellow top in the bed, red top under the hood, h.o alt. headunit was a clarion of some kind, door speakers beat up mb quarts, dash speakers pioneer 4603's. It hit pretty hard, he competed with it (not sure if he won anything though). I'll see if I got any notes on what it hit in the shop.

I have seen a few at shows that have gotten into the low 140's on the term-lab.    I know its not an extended cab....but I just saw a 4 door chevy with 2 8" L7's behind the rear most seats It was loud, real loud.

Didnt get a chance to meter it but I would put 145-146 on it easy

I haven't had it metered or anything, but it gets stupidly loud for the space available, at least to me. It isn't set up for SPL at all though, SQ is all I care about.

one thing ive noticed (correct me if im wrong) its hard to get a real hard hitting system in a p/u truck because you dont have much air space. dont get me wrong you can get it to hit but not as hard as in other vehicals i have seen people trying to put 12 under their seat on estended cabs and they end up gettin 10.

well thats my oppinion.

not bad. I doubt its the "loudest truck" but ill take your word that it does pretty well. A couple things you might want to think about. Use the zipties with the screw holes in them to attach the wires to the mounting board. Making a beauty panel to cover up all the ugly wires or wire look as a temporary setup. nice job!

Wel oscarn, thats the whole idea, its more of a challenge to get a loud system in a reg. cab truck.

I'm sure it is no where near the loudest, but that's not the purpose of it, for the amount of cab space there is though it does very well. I know I have to get around to wires and there is still some carpet to tuck and trim near the bottom too, always seems to be a work in progress, it's a whole lot better with the new box though then it was with the pair of cheap prefab boxes they were in.

I don't think my truck is any where near the loudest truck, but I get great sound quality out of mine.  You can see what my truck system includes down below.  My friend that litteraly lives 4 houses down from me has a system that I think is much louder.  Both of us have reg cab F150's, mine a 97 and his a '00.  Hes got 2 12"s behind the seat and I have a 12" and a 10" behind mine.  I haven't pushed mine as far as I can, but I have had mine loud enough to be a PA system for a school sponsored mud pit, and you could hear it around most of the campus.  By no means is mine the loudest it could be, but it works for me.

you do realize you titled this thread "loudest truck" right? Why did you do that if you dont think yours is the loudest truck?
