hi i currently have two alpine swr-1542 4 ohm dvc subs i would like to wire them to produce a one ohm load i was wondering what you guys think of this power acoustik amp

it is one ohm stable i see what you guys think of audiobahn audio products and would like to know if that amp is a good quality if not can you steer me to a good quality amp that is one ohm stable i at this point i dont care about price i would just like to see what options i have before i buy a amp i am planig on putting these subs in an extended cab ranger in a ported enclosure

I don't like Power Acoustik at all...amps are overrated.

I really like the Memphis 1000D...Very nice amp...runs very cool...friend has this amp on 2 kicker L7's at one ohm and it has never gotten past warm to the touch...very cool running amp...rated at 1100 watts at 1 ohm.

If on a budget the Kenwood KAC-9152D is a good buy at onlinecarstereo.com...also 1 ohm stable.

For that price you can find a used Kicker kx1200.1 and it will demolish that amp any day. Thats my .02 cents

Whats your budget? Your looking for a 1000x1 stable @ 1 ohm. Power Acoustic is on the bottom end of the scale next to audiobahn. Throw out a budget and we'll cook up some options. So far the kicker amp and the memphis are nice choices though. I personally have been having good results with concepts class d's.

Kenwood KAC-9152D

under 200 bucks at onlinecarstereo and it will punch a power acoustik in the face...not demolish it but a haymaker.

also that kicker amp seems to have a lot of distortion thd 1.50 % @ 4 ohms seems like a lot. thanks for the ideas

I have been dealing with power acoustik for two years now, and I have that very same amplifier I love it. I'm running three power acoustik ksw 12's on it. I've never had any problems with it. I've also had their A1800db.
