Put in a Sony MEX1GP (gigapanel) CD player in a 2006 Sonata and his AM reception has disappeared. The Sony was also in his previous car (a Honda) and he had good AM, so can anyone tell me what I'm missing? I checked behind the radio and in the passenger kick and both my connections are solid. Any ideas?

AM had been deemed illegal since the quality does not comply with current FCC standards.
...I am just messing with ya. I would check your antenna connection and not to insult you, ...read the manual from cover to cover.

Antenna ground to chassis. Give it a twist.
