I know its not good to run power wire and RCA's next to eachother, but what about speaker wire?

Whew! Just read the related threat. I had to dig WAAAAAY deep into my electronics training to keep up. Every day I find another reason to be happy that I joined this forum!

Now I need to go and re-read that thread to help it soak in.

Speaker is after the amplification, which is the important difference here.  In the case where speaker wire is used for the preamp signal, it should be twisted pair cable and well away from power wires (as in the case of wiring to a LOC).

Myth might have been busted, but still separate the power and signal wires.  posted_image
