I finally got my system rewired, Big three, 2 new optimas, the excitement is building, then.......  The alternator lite comes on when truck is started....  *?$@#!!*&^%$#   .OK start removing last installed. Took out isolator, direct wired in parallel. booya no more alternator light, systen at 14 to 15 volts. I'm planning on leaving the isolator out anyway. Is there a way to test the isolator? I doubt I can get my money back (it cost a pretty penny) but it might make me feel a little better sending it back with a thank you note &%#@!@#. Now I know why I'm not a mechanic,  or a doctor, I have no patients. Thanks...John...

If it is a stinger be sure you have the turn on lead hooked up properly or else it will nto charge the back battery.    Thats the only thing I can think of, I have never came across a bad isolater, although I rarly use them...just 2 new batterys of same brand and type you really dont need one
