I want some suggestions and opinions on the best way to wire my subs I have 2 Absolute vi1200's:
VI1200
12” WOOFER
DUAL 4 OHM IMPEDANCE
1000 WATTS MAXIMUM POWER (on some sites it says that its 1200WATTS MAX) I dont know does the name justify this?
SPECIAL HEAT RESISTANT DESIGN
2.5” BASV 4-LAYER DUAL VOICE COIL
STRONTIUM DUAL MAGNET 100 OZ WITH METAL MESH SHIELDED
CHROME PLATED DIECAST BASKET
1 PIECE ALUMINUM CONE
MACHINE CHROME EXTENDED VENT-POLE PIECE
BINDING POST TERMINAL
CONEX STAMPER
The amp I am using for these is a Absolute PROD1200, I cant find the specs anywhere on the net but the amp is a class D and it says that its stable at 1 ohm mono. It has three 25 amp fuses, and Forbiden said its probably 800W rms. I was reading the " car audio wiring configurations" and it gave me two options, I just wanted to know which is the better option parallel/parallel or series/parallel? It says that the recommended amplifier for series/parallel should be stable and 4,2, or 1 ohm mono does it have to be stable at all 3 or either one? What about bridgeing? I want to get the most out of my subs and amp, Can someone tell me the best way to wire it all ? I APPRECIATE THE HELP GUYS THANKS
judging by the D in the name im gonna guess its a mono block amp. There is no way to bridge it, as it has mono/one channel
The only configuration that would work efficently is to wire the subs to one ohm and connect them to the amp and call it a day.
