HI....I have an easy question for everyone. I have a '92 Integra with 6.5" speakers in the front doors. I just bought new Pioneer replacements. Now, the factory speaker has (for explanation purposes), a large and a medium male connector, and from the door there's a large female and a medium female connector that plugs into the speaker. On the new Pioneers, the speaker has one medium and one small male connector. Now, instead of cutting off the stock plugs, and wiring in the new female connectors, would it ok to crimp some male connectors on the end of the supplied wires (from the new speakers), so one end will fit the new speakers, and the other end will fit the stock plugs in the door? No cutting required
. I wasn't sure if this would degrade sound quality at all, or if I should just cut the plugs (I'd rather not in case I put the old ones back in to sell the car).
THANKS!
that world not matter you'll be ok . just you better off using supplied connectors so that they will not come loose and you will have to take whole asemble out again to fix. if you want go ahaed you can always tape it so it cannot fall off.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.
yea, the female spade connectors that are going on the new speakers are the ones that came with the speakers. The other end of that wire is stripped, so I was going to put a male spade connector on it so I can just plug it into the car's female connectors coming from the door.
Why not solder ?? Takes about 5 seconds and the connection is forever.
