Just wondering if anyone has heard this sub in action? If so, how did it sound and what was your impression?

Well...I'm looking for a 10" sub that can handle 600 watts rms (preferrably a 4 ohm load) and my budget is around $100. What do you suggest?

Um...anything Audiobahn is overrated...that sub will fry way before 600 watts rms...if your budget is around 100 good luck trying to find a sub that can handle 600 watts rms.

What kind of music do you listen to and what kind of bass are you looking for?

Also what amp do you have?

Okay...Audiobahn is out the window.

I did manage to find an Alpine 10" sub rated at 500 watts, but found out it's power range is between 500-1000. It's also available in dual 2 ohm voice coil and mounting it inverted is not a problem.

The music I listen to is rap, hip-hop, r&b, soul, jazz, pop, light rock. The bass I'm looking for is smooth, clean, low and accurate. Don't want anything loose, overly boomy or weak.

The amp I'm using is a Phoenix Gold Xenon 600.1 (mono amp birth sheeted at 612 watts rms)

Your better off with a 12 " sub for the type of mucis that you listen to. The enclosure size for both 10's and 12's are virtually the same with most newer subwoofers and if you want a clean sounding enclosure that is accurate and smooth, choose a sealed enclosure.

Well...I've had a 12 before. The box required was bigger and I'm seeing the same with most subs out there. Most 12's want at least 1.25 cubic feet. Haven't seen too many that only want .5 cubic feet.

I'm definitely on board with the sealed enclosure as that's all I've ever run. I prefer the 10 over the 12 because I can be more versatile in my box building to make it work for my needs and I like the responsiveness of the 10 over the 12 too. If I just wanted rock bottom bass that shook the ground and rattled a few nerves...I'd jump on the 12. I'm leaning more towards a good mix of SQ and SPL.
