make sure you have the subs wiring backwards from the non-inverted sub(if any) to keep all of them in phase

if they are both inverted you do not need to switch the wires.

to keep everything in polarity you would wire the woofers together normal series and or parallel but reverses the wireing to the amp    (-)off the amp would go to (+) on the woofer, and (+) on the amp would go to (-) on the woofer. but thats just to keep things in polarity, you could hook them up (+) to (+)and (-) to(-) and see no bad results it just puts the wookers 180 degrees out of polarity with the rest of the speakers in the car , and depending on your set up and vehicle you could see a positive result in the form of time alignment so try both ways listen at quite volumes and pick the way that makes the subs blend the best with the midrange

I'm thinking about doing an inverted build, but i've only got a single 12'' Type X (big ol coil!) , should i wire the neg wire to pos terminal and vise versa?  Also, does an inverted setup sound/perform any different from a non-inverted setup?  Can you have ports w/ an inverted setup?  Does it matter which direction the coil is facing? towards the front? back? angled semi upward?  Finally, do inverted setups sound/perform better w/ more or less enclosure volume/

instead of wiring them in reverse at the amp, you could also reverse the phase for the non-fader at the deck if it supports that option.
