There are several choices out there. My advice is to go to some shops and listen to different setups. Most people are going to tell you what they like, maybe not what you want. Look around and hear for yourself and you can't go wrong.

if money isnt an option get some high end focal speakers and a focal amp. Then get on of the higher end eclipse decks. for subs, it all depends on what you can fit and what kind of sound you are going for. One thing I always recommend is buying from a local authorized dealer.

i think its a matter of opinion i personally like eclipse decks i have had several brands and speakers i think it just personal taste i mean you get to a point where speakers all sound good just depends on what your favorite brand.. most people will tell you the best brand is what  they have...

I think on head units, you can get a lot of good advice on what gives good quality (though features will need to be evaluated by you). When talking about component or coax speakers, you need to listen, listen, listen. You will need to decide on what sounds best to YOU.

Yeah, go to come local shops and listen around, also, see if they have any competitions coming up. If they do, go there as well and listen to what folks have running. You're sure to find SPL and SQ setups, so you'll prolly find some things you like. Don't be afraid to walk up to someone and ask them for their opinion of their equipment...you'll find some folks don't like what they have, even if it sounds good, for variious reasons. Give it some time, better to buy the right thing the first time, than rush and buy crap.
