Hello all, here are the specs

2006 Honda Civic EX sedan
Stereo with 6 speakers and with/out Navigation

I'm in the process of hooking up a Infinity sub, and I'm going to use the speaker wires as the signal to the sub.
This has worked great in my '92 Honda Accord and I was very pleased with the performance.

However, I'm having a bit of trouble finding information on my 06 Civic Stereo wiring diagram. I searched this board and found the following:

LF Speaker +/- lt. green - pink   +,- radio harness or amp under ctr dash
Notes: On vehicles with the amplifier, the LF tweeter wires are red (+) - green (-).
RF Speaker +/- gray - brown   +,- radio harness or amp under ctr dash
Notes: On vehicles with the amplifier, the RF tweeter wires are pink (+) - blue (-).
LR Speaker +/- yellow - brown   +,- radio harness or amp under ctr dash
RR Speaker +/- blue - orange   +,- radio harness or amp under ctr dash

But, I guess I'm a bit confused as to which wires are positive and which are negative....
Should the lt.green be negative (-) and the pink be positive (+). If this is the case, and can follow that methodology. However, the "+/-" before the lt.green has thrown me a bit.

My next question is: How do I know if I have an Amp in my car? The manual does not say anything about an amp. Is the amp built into the HU?

Any help you all can provide would be greatly appreciated.

just guess on the signal polarity.  If you were wrong, it will be 180 degrees out of phase.  If that's the case, simply switch them.  If you don't have the nav, I don't think you have an external amp (meaning it's built into the headunit).  Either way, it shouldn't make a difference for this sub install.

Referencing off the speaker harness, if you use the same wire as positive on both sides (wire to the right of the clip, etc.), you will be fine.

My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

I was very careful to follow the wires and mark everything.

I guess I'm just looking for a better explanation of "pencil"s post about the wiring. His post was confusing as to the wiring colors.
