I need to keep the sound in my truck.. i have a 1997 Oldsmobile Bravada
I plan on sound deadening the whole truck
My question is.......

How do other companies compare to dynamat
its so much more expensive than everything else am I just paying for the name ?
what about names like Fatmat, SoundDestroyer, and Nuprene?

I know its typically not good to buy Car audio off of Ebay
but in this case would it make a difference? Because the price difference and selection is huge

Thanks

I tend find dynamat way too expensive, I believe it's around $170 just to layer the top trunk!? I`m waiting for a fatmat trunk kit to come in, $40 for that. Fatmat is the lower end of the spectrum. I've heard secondskin and raamat are very good for their price, maybe your better off looking there.

Read this article... I found it fascinating, and just another case of where you (mostly) get what you pay for, with some exceptions to the rule...

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

I sell and install hushmat, retail prices are about 40-50% cheaper than dynamate. It works as good if not better, easy to apply-heat is not required.
