Alright, i got a 2001 dodge 2500 diesel extended cab. I have an alpine cda-9831 reciever and 3 amps and two 10 inch subs. I hooked up the battery cable to the amp, the ground, the remote, speaker wires and the sub rca connectors. When i turn the truck on the amp lights up and then the light turns off and the protection and thermal lige come on. The subs dont do anything. Whats the problem?

You just answered your own question.  Your amps are going into protection.  Let us know what equipment you have and how it's wired so we can give you a solution.

Yeah it's definately going into protect because it sees something it doesn't like. How exactly is everything hooked up? Are you using a power distributor? how are the subs wired up?
