Anyone here have any experience wiring new front speakers in a 00 civic sedan? The boot where youd normally feed the wire from the door speaker to the amp is alot deeper set than ive ran into any other car.

Do I have to take apart the entire dash/glovebox too to get access to this?

if the boot is open you can use a small non pointed fish tape to run wires. i have used everything from old antennas. Large cable ties. fish tapes. large screw drivers. each application requires a different technic and well there has never been a car i could not get wires through the boot. evn cars that have molex plugs through the door. so good luck i hope i have given you some guidance. also your dont need super heavy guage speaker wire so you should be able to get through the boot.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.

Im using 14 gauge, a little big for 60w rms but if it is a problem i can go down to 16g i suppose. The problem is the boot is set so far back its almost like its coming through the engine compartment I cant seem to get anything back there far enough to run any kind of object through there, even if i could I have no idea where it comes out being that its set so far back.

You mean so far back in the fender well?  Have you removed the fender?  That should do the trick.

Pull the boot off from both the door and the body fish the wires through and get the boot wet to reinstall the boot back onto the car and the door. Removing the fender will help but if you have small enough hands, you shouldn't need to remove the fender.

Actually, no.  I've never done it on that particular car, but on my car it made all the difference in the world.
