i just bought a 1987 jeep cherokee and it had a stereo that was not the original  so i pulled it out cut the wires replaced it all with another hu and know i get no ppower .i checked fuses and even went as far as replacing the previous stereo but that hu now did not have any power?????? help

also there is not out yet a wiring harness for this year :errr:

no wiring harness for an 87 jeep cherokee?  At first I found that hard to believe, but you're right, neither Metra nor Scosche has one listed for that model year.

As for the power for your stereo, did the previous stereo have power? And when you cut the wires, did you snip through all of them as a big bundle, or did you take your time and cut one by one?

Just use a metter to find the hot wire you can pick up a cheep one at wally world with there stereo install stuff, it's really a great tool to have.
