Installing clarion vr765vd in a 2000 mustang with mach audio in it.
Got everything connected and when I tested it, there was a high pitched click that came from the speakers when first powered on. Then the right side speakers are significantly softer sounding than the left speakers.
Any help is appreciated. Also if someone can enlighten me on the e-brake bypass procedure that would be nice.

The MACH audio system is one which employs external amplifiers (I think) which will need to be disabled/bypassed. The issue which you describe is probably due to wiring issue of some sort. Make sure you recheck your wiring and ensure that everything is connected appropriately.

Ok, looks like problems are due to a faulty wiring harness.
Got a scosche wiring harness from walmart made for multiple vehicles, which had extra un-needed connectors. The pins in the harness for the speakers were loose and were not connecting properly. When the stock system is in place everything works fine.
I'll go to best buy and buy a metra wiring harness tomorrow.
Also I think that the problem with the click is just the head unit sending the signal too the amps to turn on. Will connecting the remote turn on lead to a switched fuse, like the radio fuse, solve this problem?

put a 1.5K ohm resistor in line on the amp turn-on wire. This will fix your turn on pop

I hope you used a good brand LOC before running your speaker wires to the amps, otherwise you are going to have problems VERRRRY soon.

i'm sorry, what is an LOC. Are you talking about a line out converter?? I am just hooking up the clarion head unit to the stock amps and speakers.

got everything up and running perfectly. That resistor did the trick. Thanks everyon for the help.
