Hi all!
I just installed a Sirius reciever which was in my MDX in our 2006 Odyssey. However, I haven't wired it to the fuse box as I'm not 100% sure how to do it.
I have all the wiring from the previous install. There was a white wire to the passenger side fuse box with a 20 amp fuse and a black ground wire drilled into the body of the car.
My questions:
1. Should I just drill a small hole under the door sill and screw the ground wire into it? 2. Which fuse location on the passenger side should I connect the white wire to. 3. From the previous install...the white wire is just stripped at the end and was inserted into the fuse location and the fuse was inserted and was holding it in place. Is this the right way to do this? Should I use "add-a-circuit?"
Thanks in advance for your guidance.

Wire the white wire to the ignition harness. You can ground the black wire to any piece of metal connected to the car, but be sure to sand it down first.

Add a circuit would be cleaner....I wouldn't drill unless I had too...there;s something you can use probably...

before you use an "add-a-circuit" just find the memory, accessory, and ground from you headunit...this isn't the absolute best way, but it won't do any harm and it will do the job. use a multimeter or a computer-safe test probe.

And if you do "add a cicuit" be sure to PROPERLY fuse it

Do not use a "add a circuit" or fuse tap, they can potentially destroy the terminal in the fuse box. Being that it is a honda there should be some male terminals on the fuse box that you can plug a female directly into. If there is not then find a wire behind the radio for acc and solder into it.

BTW, I agree, the best way is to solder into a solid circuit somewhere, but IF you add a circuit, BE CAREFUL. :)
