i have just started out on car audio systems and i have bought a 1100watt amp with six channels and am looking to run 3 subs off of it. but i do not know how to do this. would anybody hav any info at all?. thanks

What is the model/make of the amp?

If the amp can give equal wattage for all channels, I'd say go for it. If not, I would rethink what you are trying to do. You don't really want to mix sub types or wattage differences.

Rule #1:  Don't buy a piece of gear without knowing exactly how you're going to hook it up.  But anyway, you have it now.  Did you get a manual with it?  It would give you instructions and tips on connecting speakers.  If not, there is a great help section here on the12volt...over to the left in the blue column.  Start with Basics.  Pay a lot of attention to Woofer Wiring.
