i'm tryin to install a sony cdx-s2000 cd player in my 1987 lincoln mark 7 the person who owned the car before me cut off the factory connectors so right now all that is left are wires i know that the wiring color codes for the lincoln are

Constant 12V+GREEN/ YELLOW
Switched 12V+ Yellow/Black
Ground Red
Illumination Blue/Red
Antenna Trigger ORANGE / Blue
Antenna Right Rear
Front Speakers 6 1/2" Doors
Left Front (+) ORANGE / Green
Left Front (-) BLACK/ White
Right Front (+) Pink/Blue
Right Front (-) BLACK/ White
Rear Speakers 6" x 9" Rear Deck
Left Rear (+) Pink/Green
Left Rear (-) Blue/Orange
Right Rear (+) Pink/Blue


and that the wire color codes for the sony cd player are
i hooked up ther wires accordingly but thecdplayer does not cut on........any suggestions?


12V Battery, Memory/Constant wire      Yellow
12V Accessory Wire      Red
Ground/Chassis Wire      Black
Left Front Speaker, Positive (+)      White
Left Front Speaker, Negative (-)      White w/Black Stripe
Right Front Speaker, Positive (+)      Grey
Right Front Speaker, Negative (-)      Grey w/Black Stripe
Left Rear Speaker, Positive (+)      Green
Left Rear Speaker, Negative (-)      Green w/Black Stripe
Right Rear Speaker, Positive (+)      Purple
Right Rear Speaker, Negative (-)      Purple w/Black Stripe
Remote Out, Power Antenna      Blue
Remote Out, Power Amplifier      Blue w/White Stripe

If the CD player doesn't turn on then one of the 3 main wires ( CONSTANT, SWITCHED or GROUND ) is not correct. If the CD player turns on, but no sound, then there's probably an amp somewhere in the back of the vehicle that needs to be powered up.
