but couldnt find the exact answer that I was looking for to this question. I know the two methods to come up with what size fuses you need to run on your system but I have a question that I cant seem to find the answer to. Is it better to pick your fuses based on the max watts your system is capable of OR is it better to pick your fuses based on the RMS that your system will be seeing? Also out of the two methods used, max current on everything on that circuit, and the sum of rated power of all amp channels together divided by 6, which is the preferred method and why? TIA for all the help.

Suggested Fuse Sizes:
Wire Gauge Recommended
Maximum Fuse Size
00 awg 400 amps
0 awg 325 amps
1 awg 250 amps
2 awg 200 amps
4 awg 125 amps
6 awg 80 amps
8 awg 50 amps
10 awg 30 amps
12 awg 20 amps
14 awg 15 amps
16 awg 7.5 amps
These are the recommended maximum fuse ratings for the corresponding wire size. Using a smaller fuse than what's recommended here will be perfectly safe.
